Adam Bisits

Member, Law Institute of Victoria.

Adam Bisits is a solicitor, with a corporate and regulatory practice, including in energy, rail and ports. He was chairman of the Advocacy Panel of the National Electricity Rules 2002-2005. 

His areas of experience include contracts and regulation in rail, electricity, gas and casinos, as well as: pastoral finance, advertising, all aspects of planning and property development and local government (in NSW and other states), land valuation, open – third party - access in infrastructure, and litigation in these fields. He was a partner of Blake Dawson Waldron from 1983 to 1999 and a consultant there to February 2003, and was managing partner of the Canberra office of the firm, 1990-1992. He headed the developing PricewaterhouseCoopers legal practice in Budapest, 1999-2000.

International work has included: advice on reform of the property, mortgage and related banking system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1999 – 2000; for the Hungarian government advice on the Australian  company law aspects of the contamination of the Tisza river in Hungary and its tributary in Transylvania, 2000-2001.
